“Down there on that earth, there were tyrants denying freedom to man, ideologists shaping the mind of man, priests with their centuries of tradition and belief enslaving man; the politicians with their endless promises were bringing corruption and division. Down there man is caught in endless conflict and sorrow and in the bright lights of pleasure. It is all so utterly meaningless – the pain, the labour and the words of philosophers. Death and unhappiness and toil, man against man.
This complex variety, modified changes in the pattern of pleasure and pain, are the content of man’s consciousness, shaped and conditioned by the culture in which it has been nurtured, with its religious and economic pressures. Freedom is not within the boundaries of such a consciousness; what is accepted as freedom is in reality a prison made somewhat livable in through the growth of technology. In this prison there are wars, made more destructive by science and profit.”
-Krishnamurti
How have we come to this point? Is this our desired direction? There is no longer a question regarding the need for change, that somewhere along the way science has led us further and further away from where we need to be as a global community. We live in a world with all the answers and all the possibilities we will ever need, yet struggle with putting them into action. Our waters are polluted. Our air is polluted, our mother earth is polluted. Worse then all that, we have the ability to fix these severe problems. We have the means as a global community to help our earth and live in balance and harmony, yet we don’t. We are all to blame, no single nation or civilization is responsible, this is now the plight of man. Humanities acts of selfishness and greed have fully begun to destroy what we hold most dear, our home.
The earth is crying for help, for if we truly listen we will hear.
A single minded focus for hundreds of years has been the result of a flourish of technology based on explosive principles. From the production of our electricity through the combustion of carbones or nuclear based reactions heating water (a degregating process), or through the impaction of falling water onto impeller blades to drive turbines, we are imparting an increase of explosive driven energy. As of 1998 the world’s net energy usage in BTU’s was a staggering 380 quadrillion units per year. The British thermal unit is a unit to measure energy consumption. To put this volume of energy consumption into context with everyday life, a few simple conversions are necessary. A common unit of energy most are familiar with is the calorie.
Note: 252 calories = 1 BTU and 3 412 BTU = 1000 watts (one kilowatt)
If we begin to compare the energy consumption of an electrical resistive element to generate usable energy in the form of heat to the life process of a human, we find an incredible difference in efficiency. The daily food intake of a human in calories can quite easily reach 2500 units, which translates to a very modest 10 BTU’s. A common household clothes dryer draws at the most a continual current of twenty-four amperes. Power in watts is the applied voltage multiplied by the current. At an applied voltage of 240 volts and a current of twenty-four amperes, the consumption of power in watts over one hour is 5760 watts or 5.76kwh for the clothes dryer. With the above conversion factors, if we take the 5760 watts we end up with 19,653 BTU's of energy consumed, or the equivalent of 4,952,586 calories. This volume of energy is roughly the equivalent to the consumed energy of close to two thousand people! It does not take much to see the efficiency of the human body as a biological powerhouse. How can this be? Is it possible to understand the efficiency of life processes and copy them? The Greeks had a good understanding of the natural formidable energies contained in biological organisms, preferring to use slaves to utilize the naturall energy contained in life processes instead of trying to harness energy from explosive forces. These forces which are so easily contained have becom the basis for our current form of technology. It seems that the process of life is a very efficient system that has been overlooked to gain an understanding for power generation. It becomes more and more obvious through the observations of life building implosive forces that that the use of electricity along with all forms of carbone combustion are a very inefficient and destructive form of energy for use as a primary supply.
Through observation of nature a deep understanding of the inner workings of life spring forth, for it is nature that embodies all life. This life or energy is in a constant state of motion; there is no equilibrium in these natural balances of life and death, evoluting and de-evoluting, implosive and explosive. If the energies involved in these processes were to be of equal force, there simply would be no motion, the driving force of life. However just because these forces are not equal does not mean that they are unbalanced To begin an understanding of these forms of motion, we must sit back and truly observe without thought, harmonizing ourselves with our surroundings. “Comprehend and copy nature” Viktor Schauberger’s famous line so simply puts it. We must truly understand these forms of natural motion and then use our thoughts to implement them.
What is Science?
By definition of the oxford dictionary, science is “the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment”. If science is ultimately concerned only with observation and experiment then great care must be taken to ensure a true understanding of our observations as well as the utilization of those understandings in a positive way. Currently the nature of science seems to be far more concerned with producing devices to ease our life’s suffering, at a detrimental cost to humanities true well being. The experimentation has so often taken place not on the basis of nature’s inner workings but on the illusioned thought based facts of man. These experimentations are ultimately destroying us through our current forms of technology as we currently know and understand them.
What is Technology?
The word technology originally derived from a Greek word ‘technao’ meaning ‘self-deceit’ or ‘self-cheating’ and by definition in the oxford dictionary, “the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes.” Our technologies which are put in place for practical purposes by societies some how in many circumstances no longer seem to be too practical. Through current scientific observation, the common train of thought has solely been directed towards observing explosive energies, focusing on the de-evoluting properties of motion in energy movement that is truly destructive in nature. We have become a model of efficient destruction, and our concept of efficiency is so tied to explosive energy (a force inefficient in comparison to implosive forces) that we cannot fathom the life giving properties of implosion energies.
"The majority believes that everything hard to comprehend must be very profound. This is incorrect. What is hard to understand is what is immature, unclear and often false. The highest wisdom is simple and passes through the brain directly into the heart" -Viktor Schauberger |
